You can apply if you are 14 or older on the opening day (November 27, 2026). Under-14s can't take part in this edition. Age is counted as of the opening day.
Requirements by age
Ages 14–15
- Guardian consent form
- Required; upload it after being shortlisted, and hand in the signed original on check-in day
- Guardian on site
- A parent or guardian (or an adult they authorize in writing) must be with you the whole time
- Staying overnight
- Not allowed; leave by 22:00 each day and come back the next day
- Insurance
- Covered by the organizing committee's group policy
Ages 16–17
- Guardian consent form
- Required; upload it after being shortlisted, and hand in the signed original on check-in day
- Guardian on site
- Not required
- Staying overnight
- Allowed if your guardian ticks “agree to overnight stay” on the consent form; otherwise leave by 22:00 each day
- Insurance
- Covered by the organizing committee's group policy
Also note
- During the night hours when 14–15-year-olds are off site, their team can keep building.
- Guardians must leave a phone number when applying and stay reachable throughout the event.
- Bring your own ID card or household register (hukou) on check-in day.
- Information about participants under 18 is never shared with sponsors.
